The R4G GEN2 has an updated PIR and camera sensor with the same features as the original R4G. The GEN2 also has a threaded DC port for external power much like the R4G Lite. You can now buy the DC armored cable from our store and it will thread-seal into place without the fear of critters climbing on them and pulling them out of the camera.
