Solar Panel

This is my first time running solar and I paired this solar panel witg my R4G lite. I really like the threaded cable for the panel and camera. it gives me peace of mind that an animal won't pull my power source out. I'm running my R4g lite strictly off solar and it's been working flawlessly. The solar panel seems to be staying charged and working even with some canopy cover over the panel. I'm really impressed with the screw mount the panel came with, however I cannot use the screw mount on public land. I do wish there was a public land friendly version but I ended up going aftermarket off Amazon for the panel mount. I would like to see some sort of battery level indicator on the app. The app only shows you are running external power supply, but doesn't show you what the battery level is at. All in all I'm very happy with the solar panel and intend on adding more over the next few years.

Very impressed with the setup & very well built & especially the cable that runs from solar panel to the camera!!! No more worries about a raccoon tearing the cable up

Talk about well built. It’s a bit more expensive but you get A LOT more. It’s a great panel with a nice mount and a varmit proof cable. You can’t ask for anything better.

Solar panel works fantastic. Great thing about this panel is the way it screws into both the solar panel and the camera. I also purchased one of these to test on another camera from a different manufacturer and although it doesn’t screw into that camera it still works great, attach a rubber band from the plug to the antenna and it has a nice tight fit that should hold. Nice work Blackgate!

Thought it was a little pricey compared to other panels I have but after getting it it is well worth it. The tree mount is awesome and the threaded cable is a great feature. Installed it yesterday on my rg4 lite and ordered another tree mount for it as well. Blackgate might be my new go to camera brand. Love it.

The best solar panel yet. Love the installation mount. Makes it easy to find the sun. Running 3 right now, looking forward to see how long I can get these cameras to run.

Super easy to install and is awesome that it has the mounting bracket with it. I had mine up the next day!
