R4G LITE

Purchased 2 of the R4G Lites this spring to put out in Kansas instead of having a friend check them for me. Being anywhere from 6-15 hours away from where they would be depending on where work has me, I needed a camera that would be maintenance free. These have been just that. Any questions I had, were answered immediately in email. The app and webpage for the camera are very user friendly, it is easy to change plans, and the images are great without requesting HD. Battery life is good, have had to change the batteries 3 times, 2 of the times were due to defective batteries that only lasted ~1 week. With new batteries installed, the cameras have lasted months taking thousands of pictures. Setup was easy, put batteries in, power on, click format, hook up to app.

I've been running a mix of different brands for several years. I recently came across black gate and had to give them a shot. I got the R4G lite with solar panel and it arrived extremely fast. the r4g lite had my impressed right off the bat with the feel of the camera. it just feels durable and like it will withstand the extreme elements. The setup was smooth and simple. The R4g lite chose the strongest signal and linked up with no problem. the day pics are just as good as the HD pics from competitors cameras. The night pics are clear and the trigger speed is FAST. I would like to see the wifi aiming for camera placement similar to tactacam has. Aiming the camera blind isn't hard but it definitely would be easier with some sort of aiming through the black gate app.

I switched from a much more expensive camera and LOVE the BlackGate R4G Lite so far. It’s been in the woods for a week and the pictures are crisp and consistent. The app is relatively easy to use and has neat weather data info recorded with each photo taken. It could use a couple updates like making it easier to select photos and add them to different galleries for organization. The tab is available in the app but I have no photos in the gallery because I have no way of selecting photos to add to the gallery. I’m waiting for the R4G (with video) to get back in stock and going to purchase one of those as well. The data plan is competitive with any other top trail camera brands if not slightly more affordable.

Excellent nighttime quality and range. love the user interface as well. Will buy more of the R4G Lites for next year!

Two Lites in the field for a week. My first Cell Cams. I am very pleased with pic quality and transmission. I am also very pleased with their service and follow up to questions. 100% recommend!!!

I’ve been running tactacams and SPYPOINT for last several years. Tactacams have been costing me $50/ month and SPYPOINTs $30/month. Once I heard of these cameras and seen the data plans I bought 3 of them. They will save me $400 plus a year. They have been the easiest cameras to set up and take awesome pictures.
