My first ever cell camera and it was super easy to set up and use! Got the black gate sd card to go with it as well. Can’t wait to buy more!

Switched from Tactacams over to Black Gate. Best decision I have made when it comes to hunting and having good equipment. So easy to set up and use and very well built!! Takes great pictures! My data plan is 1/2 from what it was with tactacams. Wouldn’t buy anything else.

The first gen was awesome and the upgrades have been even better. I get service where most don’t, picture quality is great even before requesting hd. As far as customer service goes I dare you to find a better company to deal with. Upon ordering my cameras I chose the sd cards with firmware already loaded instead of the blank card that was needed. Ryan the owner called me up to ensure I was asking for the right product which I wasn’t. He corrected the order and got it out quickly. Then I was making an account for my father and passwords and emails got muddied up. (My user error) One call to tech support she had me straightened out in less than 5 minutes and was genuinely nice to work with. Black Gate is my 4th cell cam brand and since I’ve sold every other piece of garbage and I’ll be a Black gate customer for a very long time. Finally thank you to the Black Gate team for putting out a great product people are missing out if they’re not joining the team!

Just made the switch. Had camera out about a week and so far Its been great. Will be replacing all my cams with Blackgates now!

Best cameras iv used! It is also super nice to preview videos before requesting HD. Highly recommend!

Out of the box the simplest camera I’ve ever set up. Extremely simple to subscribe for service (pay directly from the app). Even got full service at my home where I have no AT&T or Verizon cell phone service. I was shocked. I’ll be ordering more for sure.

Have had this camera for just a short period time in the woods. Seem to be just as good as my spartan cameras because having the go-live option. Service is very good 4-5 bars everywhere I have put it! The picture quality on the app is in a league of its own. The regular photos are clearer than the HD photos from the other brands I’ve tired. Data plans are great a lot cheaper then most other company’s. Will be adding a couple more to my fleet of cameras!

I’ve had the R4G Gen 2 for a little over a month now. So far I really appreciate the product. Picture quality from a standard default sent photo is fantastic. In my opinion, it has a much higher quality and crisper photo sent by default with out having to request the HD photo like you have to from some of the other larger cell cam manufactures. GPS would be a great option in future releases. Also the no choosing which SIM card to use as it picks up the best signal is great. I can definitely tell being in some remote locations in south central Illinois it helps. Looking forward to the continued use and hope they last much longer than the luck I’ve had with some previous TR’s.

I've tried them all and Black Gate seems to work the best. I always get a signal unlike the others.

Finally a cell camera that does it all with a data plan that's affordable. Quality thumbnail images and crystal clear videos with audio make this camera my favorite cell camera to date. Not to mention the battery life is exceptional!

Great camera non HD pics are better then most others HD pics great plans highly recommend

Best damn camera out there

Hands down best camera I have ever had-.! No more playing where’s Waldo with a subpar picture. Super easy to setup, and I look forward to every picture and video I get.

Bought one of these after being highly recommended by a buddy this past winter. Tried it out and only took two weeks for me to order my next one. Now have 4 and have zero complaints! I’ve tried several regular and cell cams over the years and the only other brand that rivals blackgate is reconyx but you’re getting blackgate for 1/3 the price. Have yet to find a spot that the R4G won’t get service even in deep hollers with full tree canopy. The “low quality” thumbnails are clearer than other cams HD pics. Could seriously go on and on about how good blackgate cams are, you will not be disappointed!

Have had this camera for just a short period of a couple days in the field and I will say that I will buy more in the future. It is like they took the most important parts of a cell camera and amped them up. I started off by calling them and getting some details and warranty info. My biggest thing is I seem to have bad luck with cell cams lasting a season or two and then quitting and then I contact their customer service and get basically told to buy more or get zero response from customer service. So already I had a positive interaction with them. Now to the camera... I feel like this thing could be put in a cave a mile underground and it will somehow find service. All other brands have failed to get service for me in a couple areas that I hunt and this camera has 4 bars of service and uploads as it should! The pic quality on the app is in a league of its own. The regular photos without requesting HD are clearer than the HD photos from the other brands I have had. Showed buddies the pics and they were impressed as well. The only things I have left are to see the battery life and how long the camera holds up. The camera feels sturdy and built well so I have high hopes! Plus I really like the data plan options and add ons!

I am absolutely in love with this camera and this company, they have done nothing less than be exceptional. I bought the camera after listening to the WCB podcast and everything that was said about the cameras was 100% true. I will never go back to any other brand.

Hands down the best trail camera I have used. I got my first one about a year ago and recently got 2 more. The image quality is outstanding and support is second to none.
