We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the completely rebuilt Black Gate Mobile App, designed to take your hunting and wildlife monitoring experience to unprecedented heights. After months of meticulous development, feedback, and rigorous testing, we’re proud to say it is ready for the wild.
What’s New?
1. Updated UI/UX:
- Experience a fresh look with our redesigned user interface. Navigation is now more intuitive, making your interaction with the app smoother. For Android users, the navigation bar has been moved to the bottom to be uniform across all device types.
- Shared users can now be managed on location instead of for each device.
- Each camera can be assigned to a property now using the device settings.
- We added in the ability to give each device an alternate name to better name your devices. You will be the only one to see the alternate name through the app.
- Devices can now be reordered in the Devices screen.
- We added a dedicated gallery for all HD Images and HD Videos so that you can see all your HD media in one location.
- Better stats have been added to the app. Stats include Top 5 Devices and Daily movement for 3,7, and 14 day periods. Average weather conditions for movement is also provided in the Stats screen for the day period selected.
Why Rebuild?
Our goal was not to just rebuild the mobile application for the heck of it. There are new features in the works that required a fundamental update to how the application worked. Now, we can focus more on development of new features in a manner that is quicker and more efficient.
While we can not really dive into details about the new feature set just yet, we feel that will change the way you think about using trail cameras for herd management and hunting. The only way you will be able to use them when we release is by updating to the new mobile application.
