Formatting an SD Card

All Black Gate Trail Cameras allow you to format the SD card in the device. It is recommended that all SD cards are formatted using the device it will be used in.

R4G

1. Open the device, ensure the SD card is inserted, and turn it on.
2. Press the “Menu” button and navigate to “ADV“
3. Press down and navigate to “Format” and press “OK“.
4. Follow the prompts on the LCD screen.

R4G Lite

1. Open the front panel, ensure the SD card is inserted, and turn on the device.
2. Immediately press and hold the format button until the green format light is solid, then release the button.
3. Wait for the lights to stop blinking.
4. Turn the device off and back on again.

Notes:

• Ensure you format the SD card in the same device it will be used in. This mitigates SD card issues and ensures the SD card is paired correctly.
